Kirk Anderson

Is an old garage goon. He has been around for long time and and he has been through a lot. He always wanted to race flat track and he jumped in several years ago with his vintage 1938 Harley Davidson. Of course he did not win, but people loved him there. He was hooked then. He has been racing ever since. Following is a mail from him.

"have been wanting to git into the new and budding class the VDTRA started down in texas.. 650 stocker . basically a entry level class which does not allow for any modifications to either the frame, motor or carburetion. found a machine in omaha, and it just so happened that the fellow selling it had been gearing the 74 650 yamaha up just for the nebraska indoor championship race he decided he was to purty to risk any permanent facial disfigurations (not me!) so he was selling the machine. TemPa n me went to nebraska saturday morning , bought it and raced it saturday night

two or three spills later I have a real good idea why the kid was selling motorcycle parts, and not in the service dept we now know what needs to be done to this machine (low $$) to make it somewhat competitive in the oklahoma indoor series they run down here at the historic ok rodeo arena in harrah ,

..right outside o okc.

Also to fullfil another dream the VDTRA runs a race at the famous deqouin fairgrounds mile horse track just the way American flat started.. wish me luck.

love
