as far as i'm concerned these old race cars of the early 20th century are some of the most beautiful machines ever produced. they are simple and stripped to the bone. nothing there that isn't necessary. they're pretty fast too. most of them have quite large displacement, low rpm engines with lots of torque. of course low rpm is relative since at the time they were considered high rpm engines. first is an American Simplex. second is a 1908 100hp English Austin. third is a Mercedes. fourth is the start of the Great New York to Paris race of 1908. and the last one is an Italian Itala. i think i'll go for the Austin although they are all mouth watering.
